![]() It's smaller than the FB, has 4 presets, a looper, and has separate wet/dry outs. The mod delays are excellent (I like them better than the FB), the DD is great and the tape is decent. The other really cool thing is that it can do Looping as well.sound on sound, and you can actually mess with the tone with each knob after the loop is recorded.īeej, I was meaning to ask you, is there a reason you're not sure if the X4 is staying on your board yet? What's your main delay by the way since you said the standard Flashback is on your small board?Ĭlick to expand.Sure- I've been using the Boss DD-20 and love it. However the El Cap is just so good and has so much going on. The X4 is a bit too big for my board.I like it because of the expansion on the looper and 3 presets and storing more toneprints. I think I will ultimately go with the El Cap and then at some point also get the regular Flashback. If I had the resources I would probably try and get my hands on all of them.Īnyway, I've been going back and forth between the new Flashback X4 and the Strymon El Capistan. Some people are good with the DD3 for life, and I've seen some people's boards that are made up of delay pedals haha. ![]() I like to read this stuff as it shows how people use "my favorite" effect and what meets their needs. ![]()
